Greg Abbott has fought against ObamaCare since the day it was signed into law. As we approach ObamaCare’s first enrollment deadline, it’s clear this unaffordable mandate isn’t meeting expectations.
It’s pretty obvious that the Obama administration wasn’t ready for the launch, despite three and a half years to prepare. The political messaging hasn’t impressed anyone; Democrats are scampering away from what was supposed to be a legacy achievement.
Greg Abbott’s “We the People” plan proposes legislation officially prohibiting the state from implementing ObamaCare exchanges and banning the use of state resources for enforcing and implementing this unworkable and unaffordable law.
There may be no greater government-led threat to freedom than the ObamaCare law. We should have the freedom to make healthcare decisions, without facing federal penalties or fines for simply choosing not to purchase insurance.
