NO BORDER CRISIS + NO BORDER PROBLEM = DELUSIONAL BETO
“With hundreds of thousands of migrants waiting to cross the border from Mexico, Beto O’ Rourke is delusional to think there is no ‘crisis’ or ‘problem.’ It’s time for Beto to embrace reality, tell the truth, and admit a crisis exists on our Southern border.”– Mark Miner, Communications Director
O’Rourke Has Said The Situation At The Southern Border Is Not A “Problem” Or “Crisis,” Yet Hundreds Of Thousands Of Migrants Are Sitting On The Border, Waiting To Cross:
There Are “Hundreds Of Thousands” Of Migrants Waiting On The Border For Title 42 To End, With A Caravan Of Thousands Making Their Way Through Mexico To Join Them. “As the largest caravan of migrants so far this year journeys into central Mexico, the continued enforcement of a public health order barring their admission into the United States threatens to exacerbate already deteriorating humanitarian conditions on the southern border. The caravan, largely composed of asylum seekers from Venezuela, could add as many as 11,000 people to the population of migrants currently stuck in limbo near the U.S.-Mexico border—estimated to number in the hundreds of thousands. Many of them have been living in dangerous conditions for months or longer awaiting the final repeal of Title 42, the public health order that has effectively halted asylum admissions into the United States from Central and South America.” (Scott Bixby, “2022’s Biggest Migrant Caravan on Collision Course With Trump-Era Border Order,” The Daily Beast, 6/13/22)
O’Rourke Said He Believed Deploying The National Guard To The Border Was A “Solution In Search Of A Problem.” O’ROURKE: “There are (national) guard members from Texas A&M who are on the border right now in Zapata, in Webb, in Hidalgo Counties to go be part of a solution in search of a problem.” (Beto O’Rourke, Remarks, College Station, TX, 3/8/22)

The Texas Tribune Has Noted “O’Rourke Himself Has Avoided Labeling The Situation (At The Border) A ‘Crisis’…” “O’Rourke himself has avoided labeling the situation a ‘crisis’ and has said National Guard troops are being sent to address ‘a solution in search of a problem.’” (James Barragán And Patrick Svitek, “Beto O’Rourke Carefully Threads Needle On Border Policy As Democrats Grapple With The Issue,” Texas Tribune, 4/18/22)
