Greg Abbott Continues Main Street Texas Tour
AUSTIN – Attorney General and gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott continued his Main Street Texas Tour today with stops in the Hill Country.
Abbott spoke with Texans about issues facing the state and his gubernatorial bid at Flagstop Café in Boerne, Buzzie’s Bar-B-Q in Kerrville and The Auslander Restaurant in Fredericksburg.
“Texas policies are the ones that have made us the model for the rest of the nation,” Abbott said in Boerne. “Those are policies of less government, low taxes, reasonable regulations and right-to-work laws that prevent Texas from being victimized by some of the union abuses that you see in other states.”
In Kerrville, he continued to discuss his plan to focus on fighting the federal government’s threats to Texas liberties.
“I am going to focus on reviving the principles that made America great in the first place: the principle of liberty, constitutional principles and morality,” he said. “I will continue as the Governor of Texas to fight for your liberty against an overreaching federal government.”
In Fredericksburg, Abbott discussed the Second Amendment. He said, “As your governor, I will not only reject–in fact, I will veto any law that threatens your right to keep and bear arms in Texas.”
Abbott will continue his Main Street Texas Tour on Thursday with stops in Brownwood, San Angelo and the Abilene area.
