AUSTIN — Governor Greg Abbott today urged Texans to support Katrina Pierson for House District 33 and John McQueeney for House District 97 at kickoff events with supporters and volunteers in Rockwall and Crowley, respectively.
Speaking to supporters in Rockwall, Governor Abbott championed Katrina Pierson as the true conservative in the race for House District 33 and lauded her dedication to empowering parents, securing the border, and strengthening the Texas economy.
“Katrina Pierson is the leader Texans in House District 33 need fighting for their values in the Texas House,” said Governor Abbott. “She will work with me to pass a much-needed school choice bill to empower parents and ensure we continue to secure the border in President Joe Biden’s absence. I urge each of you to tell your friends and neighbors to go out and vote for Katrina as your next State Representative.”
Governor Abbott then traveled to Crowley and praised John McQueeney’s commitment to fighting for conservative values, including parent empowerment and lowering property taxes. The Governor told the group of supporters that John McQueeney is the leader they need representing them in Austin.
“Each of you deserve a leader in the Texas House that will represent your values and fight for the future of Texas, and John McQueeney is the right choice,” said Governor Abbott. “One of the most important things Texas has done this past year is fight to secure the border, and John McQueeney is the candidate in this race that will help me further secure the border. As a small business owner himself, John McQueeney will also work hard to ensure businesses continue to thrive in Texas. I need you to send him to Austin to ensure we can continue to protect the security of the great state of Texas, cut property taxes, and empower parents.”
