AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today publicly endorsed John McQueeney for House District 97 and urged Texans to support him as their next State Representative at a campaign event in Fort Worth. The Governor and John McQueeney were joined at the event by Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker.
“Texans in House District 97 deserve a State Representative who will fight for their values and support the causes that matter most to them,” said Governor Abbott. “John McQueeney is the right person for that job and will support what I have done to secure the border and empower parents. We need each of you to go out and vote for John McQueeney as your next Representative so that we can continue securing a bigger, better Texas.”
“John McQueeney is the leader Fort Worth and House District 97 needs in Austin,” said Mayor Parker. “John is a successful entrepreneur, small business owner, and loving father and husband who is standing up to serve because he understands our need for strong leadership. Sending John McQueeney to serve in the Texas House is the right choice for our community.”
At the event, Governor Abbott praised John McQueeney’s dedication to fighting for conservative values and keeping property taxes low for all Texans. The Governor also highlighted John’s commitment to ensuring every parent can choose the best education pathway for their child and to securing the Texas-Mexico border.
