AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today energized voters to support Representative Caroline Harris Davila for re-election to House District 52 during a Get Out The Vote campaign event in Hutto.
“America needs a heavy dose of common sense—that’s what Representative Caroline Harris Davila provides,” said Governor Abbott. “When Kamala Harris and Joe Biden dictated that states allow men to participate in women’s sports, Caroline and I shut that down. She helped pass a law that reached my desk that said no men in women’s sports in the great state of Texas—that’s common sense. Texans also deserve safer streets. Caroline Harris Davila will ensure that Texas continues to defund any city that tries to defund their police. Representative Harris Davila has done a great job, and since her race is close, there is money coming in from all corners of the country to support her radical opponent. It’s essential that you do what’s necessary today to elect a real leader like Caroline Harris Davila this November.”
Addressing a crowd of Republican activists and voters, Governor Abbott praised Representative Harris Davila’s commitment to conservative values. The Governor outlined Representative Harris Davila’s support for cutting property taxes, backing the brave men and women of law enforcement, and bolstering Texas’ historic border security mission to protect Texans. Additionally, Governor Abbott urged Texans to do everything they can to get out the vote to ensure Republicans from the White House to the courthouse secure their victory this election.
