AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott last night energized Republican activists at the Bexar County Republican Party Lincoln Reagan Dinner in San Antonio. The Governor emphasized the stakes of this election and urged the enthusiastic crowd to support Republican candidates from the White House to courthouse this November.

“We have been dealing with a dark shadow thanks to the Biden-Harris Administration’s economy destroying our country, and the people are going to vote them out of office,” said Governor Abbott. “Despite the chaos caused by Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, the sun is shining on the Lone Star State. Working together, we will keep Texas a free, secure state and put Donald Trump on the pathway to victory on November 5th.”

Speaking to a packed crowd, Governor Abbott highlighted Texas’ thriving economy, noting that the state has created more new jobs than any other state in the nation and ranks as the 8th largest economy in the world. Governor Abbott denounced the Biden-Harris Administration’s open border policies, calling for a return to strong border security under President Donald Trump’s leadership. The Governor also mentioned how Texas is cracking down on dangerous criminals, like Tren de Aragua (TdA), who were let in by the Biden-Harris Administration’s reckless open border policies. Governor Abbott pointed to recent TdA gang member arrests state and local law enforcement have made, including in Houston, El Paso, and most recently San Antonio. Additionally, the Governor pledged to continue to fight the skyrocketing inflation caused by the Biden-Harris Administration, noting that Texas will continue to support good-paying energy jobs, cut property taxes, and invest in economic development throughout the state.

The Governor was joined at the dinner by U.S. Senator John Cornyn, U.S. Representative Chip Roy, State Senator Donna Campbell, State Representative John Lujan, State Representative Mark Dorazio, and other Texas leaders.
