AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today delivered remarks at a Get Out The Vote event in Sugar Land. The Governor was joined by Jacey Jetton and Manish Seth, two candidates running for State Representative in House District 26 and 27, respectively. Governor Abbott endorsed both candidates in January 2020.
During the event, the Governor urged the people of Sugar Land to replicate the success of State Representative Gary Gates’ decisive victory in the HD 28 special election. Governor Abbott also reiterated his support for both Jetton and Seth, and praised their commitment to conservative principles.
“If we are to secure a bright future for the Lone Star State, we must ensure that principled conservatives like Jacey Jetton and Manish Seth are sent to Austin to defend the values that matter most to Texans,” said Governor Abbott. “With Gary Gates’ recent victory for House District 28, we saw voters overwhelmingly reject the radical agenda of the Democrat Party. Now, we are charged with replicating that success throughout Fort Bend County. Together, we will mobilize Republican voters throughout this region, and we will keep Texas red.”
