The Obama Administration again tried to attack the Second Amendment, but abandoned it today after getting notable opposition from Congress and gun rights groups.

In a victory for the Second Amendment, the federal government has halted a proposal to ban a popular kind of bullet. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) decided not to pursue a ban of AR-15 green-tip bullets at this time.
Hundreds of members of Congress joined in support as 52 senators sent the ATF a letter of opposition. A day later, ATF announced it is shelving the ban until a later date.
