As governor, Greg Abbott will defend the values that have made Texas one of the most desirable places in the nation to live, raise a family and grow a business. Americans are moving to Texas in droves to be a part of what we have created here—and we are home to some of the fastest-growing cities in the country.
As reported by the Associated Press:
They grow everything bigger in Texas, even the cities.
Three of the nation’s five fastest-growing cities — and seven of the top 15 — are located in the Lone Star State, new data from the Census Bureau shows. The Texas cities of San Marcos, Frisco and Cedar Park were No. 1, 2 and 4 in percentage population growth between 2012 and 2013, each growing by at least 5 percent in that time span.
It’s no surprise why so many people have Texas on their mind. We’ve got the best jobs, economic environment and quality of life. We are one of the few states with zero state income tax, and we keep our taxes on businesses and families low. Our streamlined regulatory climate allows businesses to thrive without blocking free enterprise. And our communities are united by our shared Texas values.
And Greg Abbott has a plan to make Texas even better.
