AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott yesterday mobilized south Texas voters to go out and vote for Representative Janie Lopez for re-election to House District 37 and Adam Hinojosa for Senate District 27 during his final Get Out The Vote event before Election Day in Harlingen.
“These two races are among the most important in Texas, and we need to make sure that we re-elect Janie Lopez to the Texas House and send Adam Hinojosa to the Texas Senate,” said Governor Abbott. “It’s important not just to go vote, but for everybody to go vote red all the way down the ballot. These races are going to be close. They’re going to come down to every person who goes to vote. I need everybody to work to the very end, until the polls close tomorrow, and together we can help Representative Janie Lopez and Adam Hinojosa win their elections.”
During his remarks, the Governor highlighted Representative Lopez and Adam Hinojosa’s dedication to fight for and protect the strong conservative values that make Texas the greatest state in the nation. The Governor also noted that Representative Lopez and Adam Hinojosa support the oil and gas industry, will further cut Texans’ property taxes, and boost career and technical education programs for young students to work in high-demand, good-paying jobs after graduation. Additionally, Governor Abbott highlighted Representative Lopez and Adam Hinojosa’s commitment to Texas’ historic border security mission. The Governor then urged the crowd to make sure their family, friends, and neighbors go out and vote to ensure a Republican victory in Texas.
