AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott last night mobilized Republican activists and urged them to join the fight to ensure Republicans secure victories from the White House to the Court House at the Harris County Republican Party’s “Boot Scootin’ To Victory” dinner in Houston.

“When I left Harris County to become a Supreme Court Justice, Harris County was red,” said Governor Abbott. “We’re going to win these elections at the county level, the state level, and we are going to return Donald J. Trump to the White House come November. What wins elections is getting voters to the polls and going to vote. Nothing beats knocking on those doors, and we need everybody here to be part of the ground game process. Working together, we will keep Texas on a pathway to remain the greatest state in the greatest country in the history of the world.”

During his remarks, the Governor championed the booming Texas economy, mentioning that the state ranks at the top for the most new jobs in the nation and has the 8th largest economy in the world. Governor Abbott also slammed the current county leadership, noting that Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s radical woke policies destroy any economic progress for Harris County. Additionally, the Governor condemned the Biden-Harris Administration’s disastrous open border policies and emphasized the need to return President Donald Trump back to the White House to secure America’s southern border.

The Governor was joined at the dinner by Texas Supreme Court Justice Jimmy Blacklock, Judge Aaron Burdette, Judge Lori DeAngelo, Senator Brandon Creighton, Representative Charles Cunningham, Representative Lacey Hull, Representative Mano DeAyala, Representative Mike Schofield, Representative Shawn Thierry, and other state and local officials.
