AUSTIN — Governor Greg Abbott yesterday urged Texans to support Jeff Bauknight for House District 30 during a volunteer kickoff event in Victoria. Following the kickoff, Governor Abbott joined supporters and volunteers in the neighborhood and went door-to-door to encourage Texans to elect Jeff Bauknight as their next State Representative.
“The reason why I endorsed Jeff is because I know he’s the best qualified to work with me to make sure Texas continues to secure our border and empower parents,” said Governor Abbott. “There’s only one candidate in this race who actually has a history of cutting property taxes, and that’s Jeff Bauknight. When you knock on doors tonight, tell people that you have a proven candidate who has already cut your taxes and will go to work with Governor Abbott to cut your property taxes even more.”
Addressing supporters at the kickoff event, Governor Abbott championed Jeff Bauknight as the true conservative in the race for House District 30 and encouraged volunteers to tell their neighbors that he will fight for their values in the Texas House. While door-knocking with Jeff Bauknight and volunteers, the Governor spoke with local Texans about Jeff’s proven conservative record as Mayor of Victoria and stopped to toss around a football with a family.
