AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott yesterday bolstered support for Trey Wharton for House District 12 during a volunteer kickoff event in Brenham. Following the kickoff, Governor Abbott knocked doors with volunteers in the neighborhood to remind voters in House District 12 to go out and vote for Trey Wharton during the May run-off election.
“Trey is the proven fighter I need in Austin to help me pass crucial conservative legislation that will ensure Texas remains the land of freedom and opportunity,” said Governor Abbott. “As you’re out knocking on doors, we need to remind Texans that Trey will fight with me to secure our border, lower property taxes, and ensure parents have their God-given rights to choose the best education pathway for their child. I urge all of you to go door-to-door and ask people to bank their vote early for Trey Wharton.”
During the kickoff, Governor Abbott championed Trey Wharton as the next conservative leader Texans in House District 12 need representing them in Austin. The Governor highlighted Wharton’s dedication in working together to strengthen Texas’ border security efforts and praised his advocacy for expanding school choice for every Texas family.
