AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott today championed Texas’ exceptional economic position during a press conference and roundtable discussion with local officials and business leaders in Tyler. Joined by Representatives Cole Hefner and Matt Schaefer and Preferred On-Site Fleet Services of Texas owner Jeff Zaber, Governor Abbott touted his firm record of pro-business, job-creating policies and outlined how he will continue building upon the work Texas has already done to become the number one destination for business relocation and job creation in America.
“Texas is the best state for business and jobs in America because we have passed legislation that fuels prosperity,” said Governor Abbott. “By providing Texans with the largest property tax cut in the history of our state and protecting the livelihoods of millions of Texans employed by our mighty oil and gas industry, we are keeping Texas a national leader in economic development and job growth. There is only one candidate in this race who voted to increase property taxes and has publicly advocated for radical energy policies that would destroy thousands of jobs–and that’s Beto O’Rourke.
