A politiquera was arrested in the Rio Grande Valley last week and charged with paying voters in cash, beer and cigarettes during 2012 elections.
Castañeda told FBI agents that a campaign manager who is also not named in court records gave her various cash amounts to pay voters and that she also paid them in beer and cigarettes. The woman told agents that on occasion, she would take voters to buy drugs after they had been paid for their ballots by that campaign manager, court records show.

Voter fraud is real in Texas, and Greg Abbott believes we need to enact Voter ID laws to ensure integrity in the electoral system.
Think there’s no voter fraud: convicted felons, non citizens & corpses cast ballots in recent #Texas elections #txlege

Voter ID laws do not prevent legal votes. Instead, they ensure legal votes are not discounted by illegal ones. Every state that has implemented Voter ID laws has seen an increase in minority voter participation and there’s no reason not to expect the same in Texas.
