Senator Rick Santorum and Texas Pro-Life Groups Endorse Greg Abbott
AUSTIN – Senator Rick Santorum and several Texas pro-life organizations today announced their endorsement of Greg Abbott for Governor. Abbott received endorsements from Senator Santorum and Patriot Voices PAC, Texas Right to Life, Texas Alliance for Life, Life PAC, Concerned Women for America PAC, The Heidi Group and Texans for Life Coalition.
Former Republican presidential candidate, U.S. Senator and Chairman of Patriot Voices Rick Santorum announced his endorsement of Greg Abbott for Governor saying, “He has been a champion fighter in Texas to protect the unborn. Greg will be a tenacious leader to continue Texas’ economic growth and serve as an example of successful, conservative state government.”
Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women for America PAC, said, “Greg is a pro-life, pro-family conservative who will lead on critical issues from the moment he becomes Governor.”
“As Governor, Abbott will continue to make Texas the strongest pro-life state in the nation,” said Dr. Joe Pojman of Texas Alliance for Life. “As the Attorney General of Texas and a Texas Supreme Court justice before that, Abbott has always done an outstanding job protecting mothers and unborn children from the tragedy of abortion.”
Kyleen Wright, President of Texans for Life Coalition, and Carol Everett of The Heidi Group spoke on behalf of their organizations and Life PAC saying, “Greg Abbott is a strong defender of innocent life in Texas. As Governor, his values and principles will help Texans continue the fight to protect the unborn.”
Elizabeth Graham, Director of Texas Right to Life added, “Not only does Attorney General Abbott’s record show his concern for pregnant women, but also his record of protecting all women from the predatory abortion industry is clear. He is the type of leader and statesman on whom we can depend.”
In response to the endorsements, Greg Abbott issued the following statement:

I have fought for families and innocent human life at all stages, and as Governor, I will continue to do so even as my opponent launches offensives against late-term pregnancies.
